There are no guarantees when estimating the adult weight of your shih tzu but a way to get a
pretty good rough estimate is to multiply the 6 week weight by 4. The weight sometimes fluctuates a little while they
are still nursing, so for a more accurate estimate, wait until they are 12 weeks old, multiply the weight by 2 and add 1
pound.
6-week weights for litter:
black female - 2 lbs (32 oz)
estimated adult weight 8 lbs
brown/gold female - 1 lb 10 oz (26 oz)
estimated adult weight 6.5 lbs
white/cream male - 2 lb 10 oz (42 oz)
estimated adult weight 10.5 lbs
Remember these are rough estimates for now but it gives you an idea anyway.
